hey all! thanks so much for taking the time to put this post together. it was so helpful!

Thank you so so much for taking the time to read this! It means so much to us!

I love this!! Absolutely amazing, job well done everyone

These conversations need to be had and I think this is a great starting point and I love that you had multiple points of view and I like the conversational style. Authenticity is such a buzzword these days but transparenency seems like the key to the real deal. I agree with what has been said re styled shoots, and pushing those as reality when they’re far from it … we need more realness and openness in this social media world especially. The pressure for highly curated “perfection” drives my anxiety higher … I’m in Canada and am queer myself and am trying to build an inclusive brand for wedding + portraits. If y’all ever head down this way I’d love to connect!

In the spirit of authenticity, please stop misappropriating film ala #lookslikefilm. If it wasn’t shot on film or actually look like film, you’re being disingenuous. It doesn’t look like film and you’re misrepresenting the medium for profit.
